Vivek conducts research primarily on: 1) governance of labour rights in supply chains, and 2) inequalities in and around organizations. His research has received awards and nominations from top academic associations, journals, and media, including Financial Times Top 100 Papers with Social Impact (2020), Business Ethics Quarterly Journal Top 3 Outstanding Articles (2020), Business & Society Journal Best Paper Award (2019), the Academy of Management Best Dissertation Award (2014), and numerous Academy of Management Best Paper Proceedings.
His research and interviews have appeared in BBC, AlJazeera, and Supply Management. He has acquired around £1.6 Million in funding from both industries and research councils. His research has been published in journals such as Business Ethics Quarterly, Journal of Operations Management, Journal of World Business, Human Relations, International Journal of Management Reviews, Journal of Business Ethics, and Business and Society. Currently, he is an editorial board member of the Journal of Business Ethics and Business & Society, and I review for numerous world-leading high-impact journals across disciplines. Also, he is guest-editing special issues on topics related to labour rights and inequality in the Journal of Management, Journal of Supply Chain Management, and Academy of Management Learning and Education.
